WHAT ARE MY WAIST BEADS FOR?

Waist beads are beads strung together on various strings that wrap around your waist. They are used for various reasons but why they are worn depends on the receivers intended purpose to put them on their body. As a celebration of womanhood, weight tracking, wealth, body shaping, sexuality, femininity, healing, spirituality, and protection.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR WAIST BEADS?

• Decide where you’d like your waist beads to sit. (Waist, Hips, or between)

• Remove or raise any layers of clothing blocking your waist.

•Take your measurement. Stand up straight, the tape should be parallel to the floor and fit snugly around your chosen position where waist beads will sit without digging into your skin.

•Read the tape. Look at the place on the tape where zero end meets the other end of the tape measure. The location of this meeting point is your waist measurement. 

•Double-check your measurement. Repeat the measurement once more to ensure the accuracy of your original measurement. •DO NOT SUCK IN! This will give false waist measurement and waist beads could result in misfit.

 HOW DO I PUT ON MY WAIST BEADS?

For tie on: Adjust them to where you would like them to sit on your body knot at least 3 times for best result. Can not be removed without cutting off.

Stretchy: Step in stretchy waist beads as you do your bottoms. Can be removed by pulling down and stepping out.

Clasp: Use clasp to put on and take off waist bead(s). Each waist bead with clasp comes with 2 inch extension.

WILL MY WAIST BEADS FIT MY BODY SIZE?

Yes. All waist beads are meant to fit any body types. The beads can be made up to 50inches. Please request if you need them to extend 50 inches. If size smaller than 23 is needed please request and we’ll gladly make them.

 HOW MANY WAIST BEADS SHOULD I WEAR?

You can wear as many waist beads as you like!

 CAN I WEAR MY WAIST BEADS IN THE SHOWER?

You can wear stretchy waist beads in the shower and also while exercising however excessive water can weaken the string over time but they will still be durable. Also please be mindful that excess water can also change the color of the beads depending on which bead is worn on your body. Do not wet waist beads with clasp or chained pieces as metal may weaken.

WILL MY WAIST BEADS HELP ME LOSE WEIGHT?

Waist beads do help with weight loss and tracking your progress. The beads fall lower on your waist as you shed inches and pounds so you can visibly see your weight loss. Waist beads roll higher on your waist when as you gain weight.

WILL MY WAIST BEADS MAKE MY BUTT BIGGER?

Waist beads can help with body shaping. Some African women wear them as a body shaping tool to shift their weight to their hips and buttocks so yes in a way they can help with gaining a bigger butt or help make your butt and hips appear more shapely

WHAT IS THE TRADITION OF WAIST BEADS?

African women practice an old age tradition of wearing waist beads to serve as a sign of wealth. However the tradition of waist beads also celebrates womanhood, sexuality, femininity, fertility, healing, protection and spiritual well being.

ARE MY WAIST BEADS ONLY FOR AFRICAN WOMEN?

No. Any woman can wear waist beads.

HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE?

Waist bead creation usually takes 1-10 business days. Shipping is solely dependent on the carrier.

CAN I EXCHANGE MY ORDER?

Due to COVID-19 we will not accept exchanges please double check order & measurements before completing transaction.

 GEMSTONE

Gemstones are used in some waist bead designs.  Some healing crystals are not water safe. Please be mindful of crystal choice and care, recharging and water safety should be researched.

CAN I GET A REFUND? 

NO REFUNDS. However if you do not receive your order within 30 business days from when you placed an order a refund will gladly be issued.
